Sandrine Van Wilderode

I'm a clinical sexologist, midwife and nurse. I support women and couples with questions about sexuality, intimacy and relationships during (peri)menopause.
I'm a clinical sexologist, nurse, midwife and tobacco-cessation specialist. I hold a master's in Family and Sexology Sciences from UCL, with a postgraduate certificate in clinical sexology. I've worked as a sexologist since 2006 and teach student midwives and menopause consultants. In 2026 I completed the IMPART training of the International Menopause Society. I'm a member of the VVS and the SSUB, the Flemish and French-speaking professional associations of sexologists. Through Uma, I support women with their sexual health during (peri)menopause. You can come to me with questions about desire, arousal, orgasm, pain during sex, body image, intimacy, and how hormonal changes affect your sex life or your relationship. In a first 45-minute conversation, we look together at what has changed and what is bothering you. The aim isn't to decide what's "normal", but to make a plan that fits your questions and your pace. Sexual difficulties often have several causes, physical, hormonal, emotional and relational, so I look at the whole picture. If medical treatment might help, for example with vaginal dryness or pain, I coordinate with your doctor or gynaecologist. You can come on your own or with your partner. I consult in Dutch and French.
